Sydney FC will announce the signing of Brazilian striker Bobo on Monday after the 31-year-old passed a medical with the A-League club.

News Corp Australia report that the 31-year-old will replace Alex Brosque as the Sky Blues' second marquee player after being released from his contract with Brazilian outfit Gremio.

Bobo enjoyed the most successful years of his career in Turkey where he scored 100 goals in 222 appearances with Besiktas between 2008 and 2012, and 32 in 67 during a three-year stint with Kayserispor.
