Veteran Sydney FC striker Shane Smeltz is moving to Malaysia.
The 34-year-old New Zealand international has signed up for Malaysian Super League (MSL) side Kedah after spending two years with Sydney, often being used as a substitute.
"It's something that came about fairly quickly but, as we all know, this is sometimes how it works in football," Smeltz said on Wednesday.
"I leave with some fantastic memories.
"Getting to the grand final in my first season here and scoring the winner in the derby after 90 minutes last season come to mind."
Smeltz scored 83 A-League goals in nine seasons for Wellington Phoenix, Gold Coast United, Perth Glory and Sydney FC.
