Sydney FC skipper Alex Brosque has been ruled out of his side's A-League away clash with Wellington as he recovers from a hamstring strain.
It will be the second match running on the sidelines for Brosque, who netted the match-winner over Newcastle in round nine but came off injured late in proceedings.
Coach Graham Arnold said the travel across the ditch would be too much for the striker.
"It's high risk if you take him to New Zealand with the travel side of it as well as the game," he said.
"Normally it's much colder over there."
Arnold hoped to have Brosque back for the Sky Blues' home Boxing Day match with Central Coast.
